45 credits towards the Certificate in Classical Architecture
The Great Buildings program is a five-day advanced course in classical architectural composition for students in undergraduate or graduate-level university programs. The course offers students an opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge of important exemplars of classical architectural composition. This year's program, hosted at the British School at Rome, focuses on the classical architecture of Rome, Italy.The course is centered around learning through observation and drawing. It is structured around field studies located throughout Rome. Each day includes presentations, on-site study, and analytical drawing in sketchbook. Evening classroom sessions are held at the British School at Rome.

The course is designed for university level students who have completed coursework in drawing the classical orders and a classical design studio project through their university or a program such as the Summer Studio in Classical Architecture.
The registration cost for the program includes tuition, on-campus accommodation at the British School at Rome (evening of Monday, July 12 - morning of Saturday, July 17), and a meal plan that includes breakfast and dinner.
Please note that participants will need to be available for the program the morning of Monday, July 12, and therefore may need to arrange their own accommodation for the evening of July 11. Students are responsible for purchasing lunch on their own. Please note that the dormitories and library at the British School at Rome do not have air conditioning.

The tuition cost for the program is $1,250. The 91²Ö¿â is able to offer scholarships to offset the cost of registration, as well as up to $500 for travel and materials costs, to ensure accessibility to the program for students of all financial backgrounds. Students who would like to apply for a scholarship may do so as part of the standard application form.

In advance of applying, please note that the 91²Ö¿â cannot provide any paperwork or assistance with visa applications. International applicants are eligible to apply for tuition scholarships and travel assistance on a case-by-case basis, based on their visa status and accompanying paperwork.
Unless otherwise specified, participation in 91²Ö¿â educational programs is limited to individuals who are 18 years of age or older. Certain programs are specifically designed for younger participants; where this is the case, the applicable age requirements and registration procedures will be clearly indicated in the program description.
